Just when you thought you've seen it all

A Little League baseball coach in California is suing one of his own players.  Yes, I said Little League.  The poor kid is only 14 years old and he was celebrating his team's victory.  You've got to see this story to believe it.  The coach claims the boy and his parents should have to pay him $500,000 for an injury the coach sustained while coaching in a game. I could try to explain this to you but you have to see it to believe it. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-prep-rally/coach-suing-14-old-over-little-league-baseball-204100538.html  If you want to see more watch this http://www.kcra.com/news/local-news/news-sierra/14yearold-little-leaguer-sued-by-coach-for-celebrating-win/-/12970852/23930366/-/15py9y5z/-/index.html

Cubs mascot strikes fear into opponents

The Chicago Cubs finally have a mascot.  This is the first Cubs mascot since 1916. http://keepingscore.blogs.time.com/2014/01/13/chicago-cubs-unveil-new-mascot/  As teams move to more politically correct symbols and mascots, it appears the Cubs have found a good balance.  A mascot that is fun and also appealing to younger fans.  I haven't heard if any groups are opposed to this mascot yet but I'm sure the Cubs brass did enough studies and focus groups to see if "Clark" offends any groups or animals.   The Cubs organization appears to be doing a lot work off the field for what they hope will eventually be a Cubs renaissance on the field but according to some preseason reports the Cubs are picked to finish last in the National League's Central Division.

If you are reading this while out in the woods searching for Sasquatch, you’re too late. Bigfoot is dead. Rick Dyer, the apparently-famed Bigfoot hunter, “shot and killed” the creature in San Antonio, “nearly a year ago,” according to KSAT.
